Summary

Supports common commission pay plans. Use Show Work to verify the math and bracket allocation.

Quick examples
  • Percent: $25,000 × 8% = $2,000
  • Tiered: $10k at 5% + $15k at 8% = $500 + $1,200
  • Base + %: $600 + ($25,000 × 7.5%)
  • Draw: Commission − draw (and prior balance if any)
Rounding

Display values are rounded for readability; Show Work keeps full precision in intermediate steps.

Show Work (step-by-step)
Work is shown in currency units and percentages. Tiered brackets display allocation per tier.

Reference

  • Percent model: Commission = Sales × (Rate ÷ 100)
  • Tiered model: Commission = Σ (TierAmount × TierRate)
  • Base + %: Total Pay = Base + Commission
  • Recoverable draw: Net Pay = Commission − (Draw + PriorBalance)

This tool is informational and does not replace your employer’s written pay plan.

FAQ

What’s the difference between tiered and “flat” commission?

Flat uses one rate for all sales. Tiered uses different rates for different sales ranges.

What is a recoverable draw?

A draw is an advance. If recoverable, it’s deducted from commissions until paid back.

Does this include taxes or deductions?

No — this tool only calculates commission math. Taxes and deductions vary by situation.
