Break lines before: SELECT, FROM, JOIN, ON, WHERE, GROUP BY, HAVING, ORDER BY, UNION, LIMIT/OFFSET.
Comma lists: columns in SELECT/GROUP BY/ORDER BY go on new lines for readability.
Indentation: increase after ( or CASE; decrease before ) or END. Align ON under its JOIN.
Keyword casing: UPPER, lower, or Title applies to recognized SQL keywords only (not strings/identifiers).
Multi-statements: statements separated by ; are formatted individually.
