• Tip (pre-tax): tip = bill x (tip% / 100)
• Tax: tax = bill x (tax% / 100) (optional)
• Grand total: grand = bill + tax + tip
• Per-person (unrounded): grand ÷ people
• Rounded shares: split grand in cents.
  Base = floor(totalCents ÷ people), remainder = totalCents - base x people.
  First remainder people pay base+1 cents; others pay base cents.
• Tip convention: In the U.S., tip is typically on the pre-tax subtotal.
