Time Card – Quick Cheat Sheet

Time formats: use HH:MM (24-hour) or H:MM am/pm (e.g., 7:30 am, 17:45).
Overnight shifts: if Out is earlier than In (e.g., 10:00 pm → 6:00 am), it’s treated as crossing midnight.
Breaks: enter unpaid minutes (e.g., 30). They’re subtracted before rounding.
Rounding: nearest 1/5/6/10/15 minutes applied to each day’s net minutes.
Overtime:
- Weekly: OT when total regular time > 40h.
- Daily + Weekly: OT > 8h per day, plus weekly threshold on remaining regular time.
- Multiplier: default 1.5× (change if policy differs).
Pay: Gross = Regular × Rate + OT × Rate × Multiplier.
CSV import: columns Day,In,Out,Break; Day one of Mon..Sun. Client-side only.

Edge cases & notes

If you leave a day blank, it counts as 0.
Rounding uses the nearest increment (e.g., 7 minutes → 6 if using 6-min rounding, 8 → 6; 9 → 12).
Overtime math avoids double-counting between daily and weekly buckets.
