Square Footage – Quick Cheat Sheet

• Formula (rectangle): Area = Length × Width
• Feet & Inches: Total feet = feet + (inches ÷ 12). Example: 15′6″ → 15 + 6/12 = 15.5 ft.
• Conversions: 1 ft = 0.3048 m, 1 ft² = 0.09290304 m², 1 m² ≈ 10.7639 ft².
• Multiple rooms: Sum each room’s ft² to get a total. Optionally add a planning overage (e.g., 10%).
• Rounding: Set decimal precision (0–4). Construction typically uses 1–2 decimals.
• Tip: Odd shapes? Break them into rectangles and add them here as separate areas.
