Pick a shape: Use Rectangle (L×W) or Circle (π·(D/2)²). If both are filled, the circle takes priority.
Depth: Enter inches (Imperial) or centimeters (Metric). Depth is converted to feet/meters for volume math.
Volume: Volume = Area × Depth. Outputs include cubic yards, cubic feet, cubic meters, and liters.
Bags: Whole bags are rounded up. Common sizes shown: 2-cu-ft, 3-cu-ft, 50-L.
Multiple beds: Use the quantity field if beds share the same dimensions.
Accuracy tip: Measure bed edges in a straight line; for curved beds, estimate average width.

Edge cases & notes

If you switch units, depth input changes accordingly (in ↔ cm). The results always show both Imperial and Metric volumes.
Very shallow depths (<1″ / <2.5 cm) may not provide adequate weed suppression.
Real-world purchasing often adds 5–10% extra to account for settling and waste. (Adjust outside this tool.)
