Dividing Fractions – Quick Cheat Sheet

Rule: (a/b) ÷ (c/d) = (a/b) × (d/c) (keep, change, flip).
Cross-cancel before multiplying: reduce common factors across numerator/denominator diagonals to keep numbers small.
Simplify the final fraction by dividing numerator and denominator by their GCD.
Mixed numbers: Convert to improper fractions first. After computing, convert back to mixed if desired.
